In the glow of twilight, the weak and weary emerge from their soul-sucking work, the night owls emerge from their homes, and the people watchers brave the crowds of the cities, all to find one special place: Crimson Noir.A calm bar, enchanted by the low amber lights, and the dark red walls, Crimson Noir finds itself the second home of those looking for a quiet moment of respite among the residential districts. Those wishing to release their stress through spirits may find themselves in the care of the expert mixologists, who take pride in both the spirits they source, and the drinks they craft. Those looking to win big will instead find themselves below, facing off against the ruthless, debonair gamba masters. And those wishing for a moment of relaxation will find themselves making conversation with the many wonderful patrons, or watching said patrons, while working on their own projects.The regulars at Crimson Noir speak of La Madame Rouge, a somewhat mythical woman, dressed in red. Legend says that she can see almost through you, reading your heart better than you can, and knowing just how to address your problems from behind the bar. It is here that you just might meet her...

Meet the Staff

Legend speaks of La Madame Rouge, the mythical woman who can read minds and heal hearts. Holly doesn't know how she got this name, as all workers at Crimson Noir wear red.Once a destitute orphan on the streets of Gridania, Holly made a name for herself by continuing her adoptive mother's baking business. Eventually making enough money to put herself through school, she studied Aetherology with the Gridanian Seedseers, and upon graduation, immediately put herself into new ventures. Now, her titles include Baker, Scholar, Mercenary, Designer, Business Manager, Courtesan, and Mixologist. A woman with a lot to do, and very little time to do it, Holly takes her rest in the late nights at Crimson Noir, where she enjoys crafting unique experiences and chatting up customers.

As a daughter of a Sharlayan scholar and a merchant, Ryn grew up spending most of her time learning an appreciation for knowledge and the wider world. In her teens, she moved from Old Sharlayan to Gridania with her parents. Since then, she worked odd jobs into her late twenties until finding a more permanent home as an antiquarian in the Echoes of Time antique and artifact shop. More recently, she has come out of her shy shell, becoming a regular of a variety of bars and venues, and, as is her personality, she wanted to learn more about mixology after frequenting the Crimson Noir. She enjoys reading, hearing stories from customers, and mixing sweet drinks.

But do not trip; I will not always be there to catch you."A fairly well regarded alchemist, arcanist, and engineer, Reppu is an astute student of both Hingan and Sharlayan pursuits. Her time across Eorzea and the world abroad has made her particularly interested in learning what makes people 'tick', and what makes them tick more than anything is a willingness to listen, and a drink to pass the time. Ever the adventurer, if one does not find her mixing drinks and listening to eager patrons, they might find her out and about on her latest reagent run; anything to make a difference in her fields.

Content Rating:
Crimson Noir is aimed for adults, but is strictly an SFW venue. Discussion of NSFW topics may occur, but engaging in NSFW activities is strictly forbidden. Those found to have broken this rule will be banned.Respect the Space:
Crimson Noir aims to be a safe, calm place for all. Fights, Mass Shouting, and other behaviors that prevent other patrons from using the space comfortably are strictly forbidden.No Bigotry:
Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, and similar forms of prejudice and discrimination are not allowed. Additionally, we ask that player characters with in-universe prejudices refrain from acting upon them within the confines of Crimson Noir. CN serves those from all over Etheirys, and aims to continue doing so.Freeing Space:
Once you have entered Crimson Noir, please remain out of the entryway, and find a seat. When taking a seat, please have all weapons put away, and all minions dismissed. Kuru is the only exception to this rule.Dress Code:
Crimson Noir serves those from all walks of life, so we do not expect that all will abide by the upscale dress of the employees, but we ask that all patrons have decently-covering clothing, both in Vanilla and Mare channels. Bottom line is, we won't tell you what a shirt is, but you have to wear a shirt. Risque clothing that still covers more than the bare minimum is allowed.Setting Rules:
Crimson Noir abides by the rules of the setting of Etheirys. Patrons may not roleplay as the Warrior of Light, and any unique character mechanics must be justifiable within the mechanics of the world.
